Drought Relief Fundraiser

Posted 27 Aug '18

Special thanks to all that contributed to the amazing outcome of Mareeba’s Drought Relief Fundraiser. Staff all dressed up in their farmers outfits and there was a good-old Aussie BBQ combined with live entertainment. The place was buzzing, with donations from residents, relatives and staff - there were particularly generous donations received by two residents and another from a resident's husband.

What an amazing family we have here at Mareeba – showing true community spirit and passion in wanting to work as a team and help contribute to our poor farmers who are suffering tough times.

We are so very proud to announce that Mareeba has raised over $500. This will buy 7 bales of hay that will travel to farms around the Gunnedah, Boggabri districts.
