Mareeba and Whiddon group race day

Posted 13 Aug '18

Following much preparation, Mareeba and the Whiddon group came together on this wonderful warm sunny morning to join in our very own Race day, the activities were very much enjoyed by all residents taking part in disk throwing and botchi events. Medals were handed out to those who won races, with lots of cheering and encouragement from all those there. A wonderful BBQ lunch with a tasty home made punch was welcomed by all.

The Trophy cup was presented to the winning team at the end of the races.

The Whiddon group won the Trophy with Mareeba only two points behind, with a re-match to be scheduled for later on in the year.

The atmosphere was uplifting and delightful.
