Mareeba Challenge tees off at Maclean

Posted 14 Jun '17

Local lady golfers recently took to the greens in the first of a two-day golf challenge at Maclean Golf Club, sponsored by Mareeba Aged Care.

The Mareeba Challenge is a pairs event and was greatly enjoyed and well attended.

Sandra Jenkins and Chris Forrester won first prize and Bev Ensbey and Phyllis McMahon came a close second. All four ladies won a beautiful winter throw purchased locally from Gail's Gifts. The day's winning pair also received fabulous hand cream.

The second day of play takes place on Wednesday July 12, with prizes for the day's winners and culminates in the announcement of an overall event prize winner.

"Maclean is a close-knit community and Mareeba Aged Care is thrilled to support this active lifestyle event, that is proving to be very popular," said Mareeba's Director of Nursing, Rachel Bennett.
