Mareeba held its annual 90's club function this morning where there were several new inductees welcomed into this prestige group.

Special guest for the day was newly elected Clarence Valley Council Mayor Jim Simmons who spoke to the gathering expressing how he thought the existence of such a club was a fabulous idea and congratulated not only the new inductees but all residents who currently are members.

Each new inductee were presented a welcome badge and certificate to officially ratify them as members of the club.

The morning was highlighted by a lovely morning tea as well as the talents of Mareeba volunteer entertainer Peter Capp who most definitely kept everyone entertained with his unique brand of songs and poetry.

It was also very gratifying to have a large number of family members who joined their loved one residing at Mareeba for this special function.
