Shave for a cure

Posted 26 Sep '16

A very special mention to three of our staff members, Crystal, Grace & Brett , along with resident Jean who all contributed to the "Shave For A Cure" foundation to raise funds for cancer research.

Crystal, Grace and Brett all had their heads shaves for the cause , Brett at Mareeba last Tuesday, whilst the girls had their head shaved last Sunday as part of a bowls afternoon at the Maclean Bowling Club.

Jean had some very bright pink colours put in her hair as her part towards this fundraiser.

In total there was around $5,500 raised for the Shave For A Cure foundation so a massive congratulations must go to everyone involved.

Crystal, Grace & Brett would particularly like to offer their most heart felt gratitude to "Nanna Shirl Gillespie" who put in many hours of her own time to assist with the fundraiser & also to all within the local community who supported them by buying raffle tickets and contributed at the bowls afternoon.
